We began dating over four years ago.  Since then, we’ve been surprising each other with romantic weekend getaway trips, almost on a monthly basis.

In the beginning, we stuck to all of the well-publicized destinations that were close to our home of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  We visited nearly every bed and breakfast and ‘romantic getaway’ spot that was within driving distance.  As our relationship progressed, we began adventuring outside of our comfort zone.  We began visiting the less publicized and more obscure vacation spots in Oklahoma and surrounding states.

During our many travels, we’ve found some of the most romantic spots in the Midwest, most of which a person would not find in their run-of-the-mill travel guide.  Unfortunately, we have also sometimes found ourselves in some of the most over-rated and over priced destinations out there.

We soon realized that just because a vacation spot looks 'perfect' on the internet, it doesn’t mean that it's worth the money or someplace you would want to take your special someone for a romantic weekend.  We decided to create this website to save other traveling romantics the hassle of deciphering between the truly romantic vacations spots and the over-rated dives in disquise.

We use a five-heart rating scale, based not only on the romantic atmosphere but on hospitality, price, the grounds, the building's exterior and interior up-keep, the innkeepers willingness to go above and beyond (where applicable), meals (where applicable), and much more.
