Cedar Rock Inn - Tulsa, OK.

Located just west of town, Cedar Rock Inn is a wonderful setting for an intimate getaway. Nestled in the woods just off of W. 41st Street, the Inn is sure to give pleasure to the outdoorsy type, as well as those just looking for a little peace and quiet from the noise of the city. Cedar Rock Inn is well maintained, very clean, and offers great architecture and some interesting history.
The staff is very friendly, snacks are offered at check-in; and while you're downstairs, be sure to stop by their fully stocked library to pick up a book. If you're not the reading type, try out the spa services that the Inn offers.
We recommend: The Sage Suite, it has its own entrance around the back and gives a nice view of the woods from the porch area.

Breakfast here is much more than cold muffins and instant coffee so be sure not to skip breakfast. If you’re looking for someplace to have a nice dinner, check out the Tulsa River Walk Crossing only ten miles from the Inn. We visited the Melting Pot for the first time (our first adventure in cooking our own dinner at a restaurant). We had a nice private booth to ourselves and the service was great.
If there is a downside to choosing Cedar Rock Inn as your romantic getaway, it would be that it's a little more expensive than some places in the area; with the average weekend rate being over $200 per night! OUCH!
Please visit Cedar Rock Inn and don't forget to mention our site.

Prosperity School Bed and Breakfast Joplin, MO.

Built in 1907, Prosperity School is full of interesting history and has been kept in tip-top shape since its days as a school house. The grounds there are beautiful. The lovely little garden and walking path was very relaxing and quite romantic just after sundown.
We stayed in, actually requested, Miss Pink’s room. The room was beautiful and the innkeepers were absolutely delightful. Goodies and soft drinks are available to the guests, and on top of that, we had a delicious piece of chocolate cake waiting for us in our room when we arrived.
Janet was very helpful in the planning of our romantic weekend stay. When we arrived back in our room after dinner, she had a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us on the side table. Quite a treat, I must say!

If you’re into what goes bump in the night, be sure to ask the innkeepers to show you their evidence of ghostly happenings in the school. They certainly won’t force them on any of their guests, but they don’t mind sharing their stories either.
This was one of the best kept secrets Damon has found for us yet. It’s a little out of the way, but it makes for a perfect romantic getaway; nestled in the woods off the main roads. It provided peace and quiet, romance, and a lot of fun for us. Very under-rated in our opinion, but this is at the top of our list of most memorable weekends.
Though Prosperity School is a bit secluded, it’s only a hop skip and a jump from Joplin’s best downtown restaurants. Janet recommended several nice local places for dinner. We chose The Red Onion. There was a bit of a wait (it was prom night…), but the food was fantastic and it was relatively inexpensive.
