The Skirvin - Oklahoma City, OK.

The Skirvin Hotel located at 1 Park Avenue in Oklahoma City, OK has beauty and elegance that is undeniable. The lobby is decorated in dark red curtains, beautiful dark wood paneling, and breathtaking chandeliers and lighting fixtures. The elegance doesn’t end there, in continues throughout the hotel on every floor, into every hall and guest room.

You may not receive as much personal attention that you might in a cozy little B&B, but the atmosphere and unique architecture of the building makes up for that and then some! We would recommend this stay for those romantics that don’t want the homemade breakfast, and small talk with the inn-keepers. This is ideal for those who want charm and elegance but don’t want to lose the high speed internet, nearby shopping, and on-site restaurants!

Be sure to take advantage of their specials, one of which saves 25% if using your Visa and be sure to book ahead of time online to get the best available rate. We were able to get a discounted rate for being flexible in our type of room, (One bed or two, etc.)

The Park Avenue Grill on the first floor was very convenient, considering it was snowing pretty hard; we thought it best to stay in for the night. The food was very good and not too expensive. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice, quiet, and we had a lovely little table by a window, the snow fell outside as we sat quietly having a nice dinner by candlelight.

The downside to this beautiful hotel is that it is not a Bed and Breakfast!  You do lose some of the romance and peace and quiet by going with a hotel owned by a major hotel such as this and that is why the lower star rating is given; however, you do gain outstanding maintenance of the building, superior cleanliness, and exceptional decor.
